Two Chinese Carved Jade Finials

the first a rectangular example, carved in relief with birds, mounted as a lamp finial; the second a rounded example, pierced and carved to show a scholar riding a donkey underneath trees, mounted on a wood cover. 

Average length of jade 1 7/8 in., 4.8 cm.
